About the Role:

As a Pharmacy Assistant at Calgary Co-op, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Pharmacists with the technical aspects of dispensing prescriptions and administrative duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and interact with customers and employees in a positive manner.
  • Assist with the operation of the Pharmacy Department, including the filling of prescriptions, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
  • Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail when assisting with the filling of prescriptions.
  • Assist with the preparation of prescriptions and help manage dispensary inventories.
  • Familiarize yourself with current merchandising practices and exercise a high level of responsibility towards the achievement of departmental operating objectives.
  • Assist in the proper care and maintenance of equipment pertaining to the Pharmacy.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain the general appearance of the department.
  • Assist with special projects and focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Grade 12 education or an acceptable combination of experience and education.
  • Pass the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test.
  • Completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant Program (preferred).
  • Two (2) years of dispensing experience (desirable).
