About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT and Cybersecurity Manager to join our team at the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and planning our technology and information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Planning and Oversight: Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with our organizational goals, ensuring seamless technology operations for our members and staff.
  • IT Project Management: Lead multiple IT projects, including the transition to cloud-based applications, implementation of a new member management/CRM system, and development of information technology policies and emergency response plans.
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Oversee cybersecurity initiatives to safeguard our digital assets, data, and information systems, ensuring a resilient and secure environment against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Technology Infrastructure Management: Manage technology infrastructure, software, and end-user hardware, ensuring effective monitoring and maintenance of network and systems.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the performance of the Network and Systems Administrator, setting goals, objectives, and priorities, and monitoring individual performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in information technology, or equivalent combination of experience and education, with at least five years of experience in IT management.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of network administration, system administration, cybersecurity, and current equipment and technologies, with expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to keep projects on track and adapt to changing conditions.
