Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at McDonald's. As a key member of our Reinvestment Area team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of construction projects throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and promote positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, corporate staff, general contractors, architects, vendors, and municipal authorities.
  • Monitor and control the reinvestment project management process by coordinating the efforts of others, including O/O, McOpCo, Contractors, and external Consultants.
  • Ensure quality control standards for Reinvestment, including cost, time, conformity with specifications and standards.
  • Manage and track project budgets, schedules, construction, and project close out.
  • Develop scopes, estimates, tenders, and award contracts.
  • Create purchase orders and CCO's.
  • Manage change orders, deficiencies, and project close out.
  • Provide regular project reports and updates to management.
  • Conduct site visits for projects within Western Canada.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in construction project management, with experience in the Quick-Service-Restaurant (QSR) industry considered an asset.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively build strong partnerships with management, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to make critical decisions to drive project success.
  • Advanced skills in Smartsheet, Excel, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and travel within Western Canada up to 30% of the year.
