About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Digital Product Manager to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our product management team, you will play a critical role in shaping the customer onboarding experience for new-to-bank customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the overall success of onboarding new-to-bank customers by developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to translate customer journey directives into actionable backlog deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with various bank business teams, authentication partners, and leadership to ensure their requirements are translated into the right products and journey.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of identity verification, authentication, security, anti-money laundering, and fraud controls to build an optimal and secure onboarding journey.
  • Work closely with analytics to set, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Use data to drive decisions, build hypothesis, test, fail, and iterate to formulate an agile product development approach.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog, support the creation of detailed user stories, and participate in sprint planning and review activities.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify future opportunities for growth and establish yourself as a subject matter expert within digital banking.
  • Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your team and self in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience working as a product manager shipping consumer-facing software solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience working on digital products, preferably in the consumer space, and working in an agile scrum team.
  • Experience managing a technology product or digital journey end-to-end, from inception to delivery.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, agile/scrum, engineering, and UX/UI design.
  • Deep understanding of identity verification, authentication, security, anti-money laundering, and fraud controls.
  • Ability to dive into technical details and understand technical concepts.
  • Experience influencing others through excellent communication and persuasion.
