About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at 2712147 Ontario Inc. as a Woodworking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and crafting high-quality wood products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wood Surface Preparation: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Plan Interpretation: Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assembly and Finishing: Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, and reinforce joints as needed.
  • Surface Finishing: Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
  • Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move objects weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs), as required by the job.
