Bakery Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Operations Supervisor to oversee our baking team and ensure the highest quality of products at COBS Bread. This role is vital in maintaining our standards and delivering exceptional baked goods to our customers.

- Work Hours: 37.5 to 44 hours per week
Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years is required.
Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a bake shop, where you will be responsible for a variety of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dough for various baked items including pies, bread, rolls, and pastries, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
- Order and manage inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Oversee the baking process of mixed dough and batters.
- Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking, and safety practices.
- Ensure special orders are fulfilled accurately.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to maintain efficiency.
- Decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer specifications.
- Develop and manage production schedules.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members.
- Ensure product quality meets established standards through regular inspections.
- Operate baking machinery and maintain a clean workspace.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 individuals.
Specialties- Expertise in breads and rolls.
- Proficient in creating desserts and pastries.
- Must have own transportation.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be capable of handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is required.
