Military Maintenance Planner Role

The Material Support Division plays a crucial role in supporting the Department of National Defence (DND) CH146 fleet. This division oversees the management of all repair and overhaul (R&O) operations concerning repairable Crown assets utilized by the CH146, which may also encompass complete aircraft. Responsibilities include direct support functions such as procurement of new parts and Integrated Logistics Support.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the Senior R&O Analyst in managing component inductions in accordance with fleet requirements and budget constraints.

· Generate Malfunction Reports for unserviceable aeronautical components received.

· Maintain organized records for closed and Work in Progress files to enhance operational efficiency within the R&O Division.

· Collaborate with various departments (Commercial Spares, Accounting, and Commercial Warehouse) and other divisions of Bell Flight or Textron as necessary.

· Execute DND inventory management by facilitating SAP transfers for both serviceable and unserviceable assets.

· Regularly create work scopes and coordinate shipments with preferred vendors for optimal value.

· Engage in work scope development and follow up on purchase orders (PO) with vendors to resolve outstanding issues.

· Support the Material Support and Procurement Division with administrative tasks as needed.

· Liaise with DND personnel and Technical Authority to comprehend and implement changes in aircraft component and airframe configurations.

· Provide data analysis and queries for both internal and external stakeholders as required.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as necessary.

· Address vendor requests for updated documentation and records.

· Assist the Senior R&O Analyst in managing inventory through value-added practices.

· The individual must familiarize themselves with and adhere to departmental procedures, policies, regulations, and guidelines established by Bell Flight. Compliance with Textron Business Conduct Guidelines is mandatory at all times.

Qualifications

· AME/FAA/EASA License or equivalent aviation experience, with a preference for rotorcraft expertise.

· A minimum of 4 years of technical experience in a customer service environment, ideally within the aviation sector.

· Familiarity with SAP asset inventory management is preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

· Strong proficiency in English with effective written and verbal communication skills; French as a secondary language is advantageous.

· Demonstrates professionalism in communication and negotiation with all internal and external stakeholders.

· Exhibits strong team spirit and collaboration to foster team success.

· Maintains positive relationships with peers and colleagues across departments.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents for security clearance purposes.
