About the Role

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a leading provider of equipment, tools, and services for the mining and construction industries. As a business area within the Sandvik Group, we prioritize sustainability, safety, and integrity in our operations.

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compliance with regulatory authorities and providing information and advice to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Complete all tax-related compliance obligations, including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, customs, and stamp duties.
  2. Support Tax Effect Accounting requirements for various legal entities.
  3. Assist with transfer pricing compliance, including documentation preparation.
  4. Contribute to month-end and finance compliance activities.
  5. Conduct ad hoc research on taxes.
  6. Address day-to-day tax-related inquiries, especially regarding transfer pricing.
  7. Help complete tax risk and policy frameworks and implement process improvements.
  8. Assist with tasks required for tax audits.
  9. Prepare standalone income tax and tax effect accounting calculations for each entity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor of Commerce/Business and experience in financial accounting or as a Tax accountant. You should also be in the process of completing your CPA or CA. Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills are essential, as well as an up-to-date understanding of tax laws and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
