Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Technician to join our team at IDEXX. As a key member of our Water Quality Business Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes and equipment.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on our water test instruments and supporting technology, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. You will also be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of procedures and documentation to support our products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on water test instruments and supporting technology
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of manufacturing processes
  • Identify and communicate safety concerns to immediate supervisor
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to complete work tasks with sufficient verbal or written instructions
  • Aptitude for electro-mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Basic math skills and ability to work with units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to communicate with team-members and internal customers regarding equipment operation
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of a supervisor
  • Ability to identify concerns and make decisions in process and safety
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred
