Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Support Assistant to join our team at Thrive Group Canada. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support services to adults with disabilities, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, daily living activities, and light housekeeping duties.
  • Arrange and escort clients to appointments, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide life-skills support, promoting independence and confidence in clients.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, family members, colleagues, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Client Service Contracts and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing personal support services to individuals with disabilities and/or seniors.
  • Ability to empathize with clients' physical and emotional needs, providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to perform calculations and quantity measurements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a competent level of English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check or Criminal Reference Check is required.
