About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Punjabi Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Leadership: Lead the kitchen team and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop new menu ideas and ensure that our dishes are innovative and exciting.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and served safely and to the highest quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory and ensure that all ingredients are ordered and stored correctly.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Language: Hindi, Punjabi, and English.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Tasks: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef, inspect kitchens and food service areas, clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Cuisine Specialties: East Indian and West Indian cuisine.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, work term: permanent, work language: English, hours: 40 hours per week.
