Position Overview

KPMG's Integration Separation division within Operations M&A focuses on assisting organizations in realizing and delivering value from mergers and acquisitions. Our expertise spans the entire deal cycle, from pre-merger assessments to post-merger integration. We partner with management and stakeholders to evaluate transaction impacts and develop precise implementation strategies, ensuring successful acquisition or divestment outcomes. Our client portfolio includes public, private, and private equity-owned enterprises across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support clients in maximizing value from transactions by taking a pivotal role in engagement teams.
  • Facilitate pre-day 1 planning and provide implementation support.
  • Conduct rapid impact assessments.
  • Deliver specialized guidance on critical separation and integration challenges.
  • Provide insights on legal documentation and client strategies.
  • Analyze and quantify operational implications of merging and divesting businesses.
  • Engage effectively with senior client executives, collaborating closely with client teams.
  • Generate financial and non-financial due diligence to facilitate client integration or separation processes.
  • Work with internal team members to develop business initiatives, proposals, and project deliverables.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and devise solutions to safeguard client interests.
  • Mentor consultants to provide exceptional service and insights to clients.
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions within consulting, corporate, or private equity environments.
  • Prior experience in professional services is advantageous.
  • Possession of an MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar qualification.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient presenter, capable of synthesizing key information.
  • Adept at leading teams in dynamic settings.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Confident, articulate team player with a robust work ethic.
  • Understanding of program or project management principles.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to build effective relationships quickly.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

KPMG BC Region Compensation Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $111,000 to $199,500, which may include bonus opportunities. Base salary determination is influenced by location, skills, competencies, and qualifications. Additionally, KPMG offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program.
