Treatment Home Support Worker Job Description

Empower Simcoe is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Home Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to individuals residing in our Treatment Home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans and strategies to meet the direct needs of individuals living in the Treatment Home.
  • Provide physical, medical, and emotional support to individuals, including accompanying them to doctor's appointments and medical reviews.
  • Ensure the health and safety of individuals, staff, visitors, and the community by implementing safety protocols and adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate family participation in individuals' lives and support them with budgeting, banking, and purchases.
  • Assist with household routines such as cleaning, cooking, and minor maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Community College Diploma in Social Services or a closely related field from an accredited college.
  • Registered Behavioural Technician certificate an asset.
  • Minimum of two years recent full-time work experience supporting hard-to-serve adults with complex care needs in community residential settings.
  • Experience supporting people with behaviour management techniques is an asset.
  • Valid class G driver's license and own reliable transportation.
