Care Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Director to join our team at Responsive Group Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and services to our residents, while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and industry standards.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience in long-term care and a proven track record of leadership and management. You will be responsible for coordinating the quality management program, providing coaching and support to staff, and ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direction and leadership to the nursing team, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and services.
- Coordinate the quality management program, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and industry standards.
- Provide coaching and support to staff, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with the Director of Care and Nursing Supervisor to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our residents receive a seamless and high-quality care experience.
- Participate in performance management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services and care.
- Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Nurse or a Registered Nurse registered with a regulatory authority in a Canadian jurisdiction, other than Ontario, and holds in that jurisdiction the equivalent of a certificate of registration authorizing independent practice in Ontario as of right exemption Bill 60.
- Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and long-term care concepts and philosophies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and families.
- Previous managerial experience in a long-term care setting, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, motivate, lead, and support team members.
- Good computer skills and ability to use technology to support care delivery.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
