Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in Regina. As a key member of our Ground Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our geotechnical laboratory and working closely with clients, contractors, and our team to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the operation of the Regina geotechnical laboratory and develop its ongoing capabilities.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior staff.
- Schedule lab technicians to complete lab and field testing programs in a timely manner.
- Review and report geotechnical test results and field reporting.
- Be familiar with ASTM, AASHTO, and CSA geotechnical testing procedures.
- Manage and review projects from proposal to completion, including budget allocation, personnel, and resources.
- Coordinate with project management teams and other discipline leads to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Maintain and review requirements for CCIL certifications.
- Lead and pursue new business and project opportunities.
- Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, demonstrated leadership and management of projects related to geotechnical materials testing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop excellent customer relationships, positive staff working environments, and new business opportunities.
- Strong leadership skills with a genuine desire to mentor and develop individuals and teams.
- Project Management skills, with the ability to track timelines, meet budgets, and schedules.
- Ability to physically lift up to 25 kg repeatedly, as required, on a daily basis.
- Ability to work in a noisy, dusty environment (indoors and outdoors) using all applicable Personal Protective Equipment as required.
