About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Create new recipes and menus to meet the evolving tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and weddings.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to ensure personalized service.
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to meet the demands of our restaurants.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards to exceed guest expectations.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances to ensure their safety and satisfaction.
  • Recruit and hire staff to maintain a skilled and dedicated kitchen team.
  • Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
