Occupational Therapist I

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Halvar Jonson Centre for Brain Injury. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide a range of services to patients with acquired brain injury, including assessment, planning, and implementation of client-centered treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients with acquired brain injury to identify their occupational performance needs and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' occupational performance deficits.
- Provide direct services to patients, including therapy sessions and adaptive equipment assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
- Conduct regular progress assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Greater than 6 months experience working in neurology, with stroke and brain-injured patients.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- CPR certification - BLS for Health Care Providers Level C.
- Three years' clinical experience in rehabilitation services using a client-centered approach.
