Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Ptarmigan Inn. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in food preparation, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
- Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
