Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to manage and maintain financial records with precision and accuracy. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Payroll Management: Prepare payroll and related financial documents.
  • Consultation: Provide guidance on financial planning and business start-up processes.
  • Document Management: Compile, verify, and process various financial documents and applications.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as MS Excel, MS Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet applications.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
