Position: Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure and Security - Global
Location: Hybrid Role
We are in search of a Senior Manager for IT Infrastructure and Security to lead service delivery across multiple regions including the US, Canada, and Australia. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with a robust background in managing international infrastructure and security initiatives. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Technology, the successful candidate will oversee the global execution of our portfolio.
The Senior Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure and security frameworks, while providing essential technical direction, team leadership, and strategic oversight to a worldwide team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer technical direction to a global team tasked with infrastructure and security service delivery across various countries.
- Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to achieve business goals, ensuring project objectives are met within established parameters.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for business processes, operational protocols, technical designs, and functional expertise.
- Work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams to define, plan, and manage projects that your team will lead or contribute to.
- Oversee team projects and deliverables using standard project management methodologies, ensuring effective collaboration.
- Provide 24/7 escalation support for critical incidents to cross-functional teams.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical specialists, offering guidance and coaching to foster their professional development.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and clients.
- Oversee the technical scope of infrastructure and security service delivery, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for the infrastructure and security portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous updates.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to infrastructure and security service delivery.
- Direct the design, development, and implementation of complex technical solutions, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
- Manage budgets for infrastructure and security service delivery, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance of infrastructure and security service delivery with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Oversee all infrastructure and monitoring tools to optimize performance and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, motivating team members to explore new ideas and challenge existing practices.
- Build strong working relationships with other teams and departments, including development, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance in IT infrastructure operations and controls, ensuring reliability of servers and data storage.
- Conduct system administration for on-premises and cloud infrastructure resources.
- Forecast and manage budgets for the portfolio, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Deliver regular reports to senior management on portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security.
- At least 5 years of experience in a management role with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with managed service providers, SaaS solutions, and hosted services.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to resolve practical issues and engage cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively while managing time-sensitive competing priorities.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Capability to lead discussions with business stakeholders and propose comprehensive solutions for both technical strategies and business processes.
- Exhibits strong initiative; a self-starter who can guide others in uncertain situations.
- Ability to influence and align others towards common objectives.
- Leads by example, fostering creative and innovative idea generation while influencing decisions across various teams.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business processes and requirements in collaboration with key business users.
- Ability to manage multiple innovation initiatives and align them with strategic objectives.
- Understanding of holistic infrastructure and security designs, providing consultancy on their application to application design requirements.
