Job Title: Shipper-Receiver

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipper-Receiver to join our team at Varsteel Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Shipper-Receiver will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shipping: Determine the method of shipment, schedule distribution of goods, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
  • Receiving: Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods, and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintain internal record-keeping systems, oversee loading and unloading of goods, and supervise material handlers and helpers.
  • Transportation: Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Skills: Forklift Operator Certification, database software, MS Windows, and valid driver's license.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, and standing for extended periods.
