Position Overview

VAS Masonry Ltd is seeking a dedicated Masonry Specialist to join our team. This role involves working with various masonry materials to create durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in masonry work.
Work Environment

The position is based in a construction setting, primarily focusing on residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units.
  • Install veneer facing using bricks, stone, or similar materials.
  • Construct and assemble prefabricated masonry units.
  • Build decorative installations such as patios and garden walls.
  • Interpret sketches and blueprints to determine material requirements.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks.
  • Construct residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Lay radial bricks for industrial chimney structures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Capable of lifting heavy loads (up to 45 kg or 100 lbs).
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Tools and Equipment

Personal protective equipment required includes steel-toed safety boots.
