Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Lindt & Sprüngli (Canada), Inc. in Edmonton. As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of our Lindt Chocolate Shop, driving corporate sales, and upholding exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the management of daily store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive corporate sales and increase revenue.
- Model and promote exemplary customer service behavior, establishing guidelines for store employees.
- Monitor sales and labor issues, aiming to maximize store profitability while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Retail Sales Associates.
- Supervise store employees to ensure maximum customer service, sales, and profit.
- Train sales techniques and product knowledge to store employees.
- Timely order merchandise and supplies, focusing on inventory management and loss prevention.
- Reconcile cash, sales receipts, and daily paperwork, ensuring accurate accounting and payroll.
- Develop and utilize comprehensive knowledge of products and sales information to achieve sales goals and control expenses.
- Assist with ongoing performance management of staff, preparing and delivering employee performance reviews.
- Maintain store merchandising presentation to company standards.
- Ensure high standards for cleanliness and food/product safety.
- Responsible for cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative duties.
- Post-secondary education.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2-5 years of retail experience.
- Previous experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry is preferred.
- Previous experience in merchandising or presentation capacity.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Office.
- A history of providing exceptional customer service.
- Talent for sales and selling.
- Passion for chocolate.
