Position Overview

As a Personal Care Assistant at GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY HOME SUPPORT AGENCY SOCIETY, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing essential support and companionship to individuals in need.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients in maintaining regular exercise routines, such as walking.
  • Provide assistance with feeding or meal preparation.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
