About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Allamani Technical Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Complete and maintain accurate test and service reports to document work completed.
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets to meet customer needs.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access for customers.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Client focus, flexibility, and team player skills.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 30 to 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
