About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates, a division of CRH Canada. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in maintaining the equipment and machinery that drives our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance, and provide support during breakdowns.
  • Responsible for project work (process and/or continuous improvement, reliability) and part of the annual shut-down team responsible for overhauls.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain (repair, overhaul, install, replace) of Ready-Mix concrete production equipment, including belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers & water heaters, and similar equipment.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and brazing using different techniques and with different metals.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks, and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Install, remove, troubleshoot, and repair bucket elevator and conveyor systems.
  • Bearing lubrication, application, removal, and installation processes.
  • Work from service manuals.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with gear drives.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and identify problems with Hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Requirements
  • Valid industrial Millwright License.
  • Completed Millwright Apprenticeship.
  • Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, work procedures.
