Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Visual Inspection Technician to join our team at RANIT INSPECTION SERVICES INC.. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of College/CEGEP
  • Equivalent experience is also acceptable
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tests to verify quality and identify defects in materials and products.
  • Interpret and document findings from liquid penetrant inspections.
  • Analyze conductivity measurements and visual indicators.
  • Review and interpret radiographic images.
  • Establish and maintain Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) techniques and calibration standards.
  • Develop and interpret radiographic films.
  • Set up, calibrate, and operate various inspection equipment including magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations during inspections.
  • Provide training and supervision to junior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Oversee a team of approximately 5-10 individuals.

Certifications and Qualifications
  • CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 1
  • CWB Welding Inspector Certification Level 2
  • Nondestructive Testing Certificate
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in visual inspection techniques.
  • Experienced in nondestructive testing methodologies.
Industry Experience
  • Experience in construction, hydro and utilities, large pressure vessels, mining and exploration, oil or gas pipelines, and petrochemicals.
Work Environment

This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Experience Level

Minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years of relevant experience is required.

This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 35 to 40 hours per week.
