About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Retail Meat Cutter to join our team at TAAL FINE INDIAN CUISINE. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and processing high-quality meats for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meats: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting. Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers and cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Meat Handling and Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats, remove bones from meat, and cut poultry into parts.
  • Training and Development: Train meat cutters and slice cooked meats to ensure high-quality products.
  • Display and Presentation: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products, and shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
Requirements
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, handling heavy loads and working in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and excellent communication skills.
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
