Job Summary

We are looking for a lawyer with a strong background in real estate law, specifically focused on residential purchases and sales. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in this area and be able to work independently in a small firm setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal services to clients in the areas of real estate law, including residential purchases and sales, and agricultural land transactions.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other lawyers and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of legal services.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in real estate law and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of clients and referral sources.

Requirements

  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
  • A law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum one year experience in real estate law, specifically focused on residential purchases and sales.
  • Experience in the areas of wills & estates, trusts, and/or corporate law is an asset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Pride in ethical and professional conduct.
  • Willingness to travel or live and work in a more rural community.
