Plant Controller

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled Plant Controller to lead the accounting and finance department at a reputable manufacturing company in the Welland area. This leadership role oversees all accounting operational functions, manages financial data, and guides departmental staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and organize financial data to meet internal client expectations
- Execute factory finance responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting
- Ensure planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements are met
- Lead the plant finance team, evaluate and coach existing staff, and build a high-performance finance team
- Provide consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to drive business decisions
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls to ensure reporting integrity and safeguard company assets
- Determine and maintain accounting principles and processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS/US GAAP regulations
- CPA designation
- Manufacturing industry experience
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Cost accounting experience and knowledge
- Strong budgeting and forecast skills and experience
- Ability to manage a finance team
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven communication skills
