Job Title: Nurse Practitioner, Cleft Palate Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre. As a Nurse Practitioner, Cleft Palate Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients with cleft palate and craniofacial conditions, including ordering diagnostic investigations and interpreting results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as needed, within the scope of practice and regulatory standards.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, including counseling and guidance on health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address population health trends and develop strategies for prevention and health promotion.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP) and the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, including strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on patient-centered care.
