Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Integrated Child and Youth team. As the Lead, Integrated Child and Youth Program, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health and substance use services to children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and management to the Integrated Child and Youth team, ensuring the delivery of services that meet the needs of children, youth, and families.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and effectiveness of mental health and substance use services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community partners, to ensure the integration of services and the delivery of a seamless system of care.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of team members, ensuring that they are meeting the expectations of the role.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including Indigenous community partners, to ensure the delivery of culturally safe and effective services.
  • Participate in local committees and planning bodies to advocate for the needs of children, youth, and families.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing, psychology, or social work, or a related field.
  • Five years of recent experience in a leadership role, preferably in a mental health and substance use setting.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Applicable professional designations, such as a Certified Addictions Counsellor (CAC).

  • Ability to manage and supervise a professional team, including human resource functions.
  • Thorough knowledge of a multidisciplinary team approach and the coordination of services in a complex environment and system of care.
  • Strong foundation of knowledge and experience in the mental health and substance use field.
  • Ability to lead and promote team building, while understanding the need for decisive action.
