We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our dynamic team at Haveli Indian Cuisine, a renowned restaurant. If you have a passion for creating delicious meals and leading a team, this position is perfect for you.

Job Details
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal kitchen operations.
  • Analyze financial data and other key performance indicators to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Design and create new recipes to cater to diverse customer preferences.
  • Train and instruct cooks in food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Prepare and cook meals for special events and banquets to exceed customer expectations.
  • Procure high-quality food and kitchen supplies to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to tailor menus for special functions and events.
  • Develop and implement menu plans to ensure food quality and consistency.
  • Recruit and hire skilled staff to support the growth of the kitchen team.
  • Provide guidance and support to sous-chefs, specialist chefs, and cooks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Offer support and accommodations for diverse staff members, including newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, mature workers, and visible minorities.
