Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in driving business growth and improvement by analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and developing strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly financial analysis and provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, including assisting business units in creating budgets and forecasts to meet operational goals.
- Analyze and report on the financial impact of key strategic initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance key performance indicators to highlight operational performance.
- Maintain and enhance financial forecasting, budgeting, and operational models.
- Create financial data and models to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with operations teams to provide financial support, including financial analysis to understand the financial implications of ongoing projects, potential opportunities, and/or problems experienced.
- Work with finance and accounting teams to identify and implement areas for process improvement and increased efficiencies.
- Assist in the implementation of new financial systems.
- Support financial strategic projects and identify areas for improvement, including making recommendations.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
- Post-secondary education in Commerce or Business.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced level skills in MS Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, managers, and negotiate effectively to manage project deliverables.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly changing environment.
- The individual must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and results-oriented, be diligent, and work with a sense of urgency.
- Strong critical and analytical skills.
- You are motivated, flexible, and possess a strong work ethic.
