We are seeking a skilled R&D Verification Engineer to join our validation team, conducting software testing of ANSYS applications such as OpticStudio and its add-in modules.

This role involves assessing product functionality and usability, using physics-based optical simulation, and ensuring product requirements and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in optical physics, experience with software validation and testing, and proficiency in Python or MATLAB for computational analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify and write test cases, create, modify, and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts
  • Perform functional and regression testing in manual and automated test environments
  • Verify defect fixes and write software defect reports
  • Create test plans, participate in defect management, and testing metrics
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes
Requirements:
  • BS in Optical Engineering or directly related field with 1-3 years of experience or MS with no experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (conversational English skills are required)
  • Solid foundation in optical physics
  • Familiar with software validation and testing
  • 1+ years of experience using Python (and/or MATLAB) for computational analysis and/or modeling
  • Industrial experience designing, building, and/or testing optical products
  • Technical knowledge and experience with the OpticStudio Application Programming Interface (ZOS-API)
