About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist will report directly to the Manager of Human Resources and will be instrumental in executing the onboarding program and managing contract employee staffing. This role is pivotal in enhancing employee engagement and retention, creating an environment where employees can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the employee onboarding program, overseeing pre-start activities, orientation, and onboarding plans while gathering feedback to continuously improve the process.
  2. Manage various employee benefit programs, including enrollment and training related to benefits and pensions.
  3. Ensure accurate maintenance and updating of employee records.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for agency contract employees throughout their employment journey.
  5. Oversee relationships with temporary staffing agencies.
  6. Assist in the recruitment process as required.
  7. Participate in compensation surveys, handling data management and submissions.
  8. Compile and analyze data for monthly HR metrics and compensation reports.
  9. Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  10. Assist Human Resources Managers in the Position Evaluation Committee.
  11. Engage in corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  1. Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
  3. Familiarity with employment legislation.
  4. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to processes.
  5. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  6. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with effective time management abilities.
  7. Solid problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  8. Experience with HR management systems is advantageous.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to changing circumstances.
  10. Data analysis skills are a plus.
  11. Self-motivated with a proven ability to multitask.
