Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at INNISFAIL PIZZA & PASTA 2 FOR 1. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and equipment are sanitized and in good working order.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes, including dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
- Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that recycling is properly sorted and stored.
- Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Language of Work: English.
- Employment Type: Permanent.
