Job Opportunity - RECE Program Manager

Simply Smart Child Care Centre & Montessori/Iroquois is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator to lead our RECE program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a classroom and implementing a regular or Montessori preschool program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a prepared environment that meets the individual needs of children in the classroom;
  • Plan and deliver individual and group activities to stimulate growth in social, emotional, and academic areas;
  • Provide instruction and presentations in areas such as Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture;
  • Encourage independence and socialization through individual and group work;
  • Identify and modify work to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs;
  • Conduct parent-teacher interviews and maintain cooperative relationships with students, parents, and coworkers;
  • Participate in school activities and celebrations;
  • Ensure a high level of professionalism and maintain a clean and safe classroom environment;
  • Follow health and safety protocols and maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing education;
  • Participate in outdoor activities with children and ensure program compliance with Ministry and program standards.

Requirements:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator designation;
  • Standard First Aid CPR C+
  • Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Immunization up to date (including a 2-step TB test).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 to $24.00 /hour
