Dressmakers Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dressmakers Supervisor to join our team at Jerry's Skating World Inc. as a key member of our fashion production department.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordination and Planning: Coordinate work activities with other departments to ensure seamless production and delivery of high-quality apparel products.
- Work Scheduling: Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare production and other reports to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform business decisions.
- Staff Development: Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce.
- Materials Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to support production needs.
- Equipment Setup: Set up machines and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Quality Control: Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, ensuring that our apparel products meet the highest standards.
- Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions to support the growth and development of our team.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in Gerber AccuMark and other relevant software.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player.
- Work Term: Permanent position.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
