Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Supervisor to oversee our procurement processes at CBS Parts Ltd. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our purchasing operations.

Work Environment

The position is based in a retail/wholesale establishment or distribution center, providing a dynamic and fast-paced work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate specific strategies to prioritize purchasing tasks.
  • Organize and delegate tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage logistics operations within the organization.
  • Coordinate activities with various departments to enhance collaboration.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on purchasing activities.
  • Address work-related issues, offering technical guidance and suggestions for productivity improvements.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the training arrangements for new employees.
  • Assign, review, and manage the workload of purchasing and inventory clerks.
  • Request and order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain and organize inventory effectively.
Supervision

Direct supervision of purchasing and inventory clerks is a key aspect of this role.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in the following software is required:

  • Inventory control software
  • Purchasing software
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Word, MS Windows
Safety and Security

A criminal record check is mandatory for this position.
