Job Title: IT Helpdesk Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Specialist to join our team at Showcase, a leading retailer of unique and interactive products. As an IT Helpdesk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing level 1 technical support, maintaining hardware and software, and assisting with IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to employees and customers via phone, tickets, chat, and email.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Prioritize issues based on urgency and escalate or redirect as needed.
  • Maintain a log of helpdesk interactions.
  • Monitor systems and networks using real-time monitoring tools.
  • Monitor and maintain IT-related hardware and supplies.
  • Setup, configure, and repair IT hardware such as PCs, printers, scanners, and input devices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a level 1 technical support role.
  • College diploma, university degree, or relevant certifications in IT fields.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and written.
  • Experience supporting desktop users in Windows 10.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and good attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to approach problems pragmatically.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads based on urgency.
  • Knowledge of common IT-related hardware, such as PC port types, connection types, modems, routers, switches, etc.
  • Reliable source of transportation.
