Culinary Team Member

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Culinary Team Member to join our team at Allo Mon Coco. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for special events and daily operations.
- Kitchen Operations
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Team Support
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Assist with on-the-job training and mentorship programs for new team members.
- Customer Service
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a welcoming dining experience.
- Support for Diverse Groups
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Youth and Indigenous Workers
- Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and Indigenous workers.
- Support for Mature Workers
- Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Work Environment
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of culinary professionals to achieve common goals.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Language
- Fluency in English or French.
- Work Term and Hours
- Permanent position.
- 40 hours per week.
