Job Description for Floor Covering Installer

Diamond Construction is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing various types of floor coverings, including carpeting, resilient flooring, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and install floor coverings according to specifications
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Estimate costs and materials for floor covering installations
  • Prepare floors for installations, including cleaning and preparing surfaces
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications for floor covering installations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in floor covering installation
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours per week
