We are seeking a skilled Japanese Cuisine Chef to join our team at Kurama Sushi Japanese Restaurant Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, determining the size of food portions and costs, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
- Cost Control: Determine the size of food portions and costs, ensuring that food costs are minimized while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and standing for extended periods.
