About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at A&W. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage cash handling and balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
    • Conduct regular financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate a team of 1-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members improve their performance.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Monitor customer feedback and use it to identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the ordering and inventory management process, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that products are rotated regularly.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, including regular cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant.
    • Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify any areas for improvement.
  • Marketing and Sales
    • Work with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans that drive sales and increase customer engagement.
    • Monitor sales trends and use data to inform marketing decisions.
  • Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 1-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members improve their performance.
    Requirements
    • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
    • College/CEGEP education.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work a 37.5 hour week.
    • Work Language: English.
