Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our team at Truro Ice Cream, a stimulating and collaborative workplace. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Industrial Mechanics/Electricians with equipment breakdowns and troubleshooting, operating and maintaining Ammonia Refrigeration Systems, Boilers, Air Compressors, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Industrial Mechanics/Electricians with equipment breakdowns and troubleshooting
  • Operation/maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration System, Boiler, Air Compressors, HVAC etc.
  • Completion of planned maintenance during production downtime
  • Use of a CMMS for completing assigned as well as unplanned work
  • Strong commitment to occupational health and safety including LOTO, arc flash, working at heights, confined space etc.

Requirements:

  • 3rd Class Power Engineer or 2nd Class Refrigeration Plant Operator license
  • Strong mechanical or other relevant technical background
  • Sound troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced team-oriented processing and manufacturing environment working rotating shifts with occasional overtime, weekend work and on-call duties.
