Organizational Design and Classification Specialist

Protak Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Organizational Design and Classification Consultant to join their team for a new federal government project.
Scope of Work:
- Conduct organizational design assessments, including modeling and analysis;
- Evaluate job descriptions against applicable classification standards;
- Develop and discuss proposed ratings with the Manager;
- Perform relativity studies and job validation reviews;
- Ensure compliance with Treasury Board Classification Policy;
- Chair or participate in classification committees or grievance processes;
- Amend, write, or re-write job descriptions to meet standards;
- Identify sub-groups and prepare classification rationales;
- Coach or mentor trainees, if applicable;
- Ensure adherence to TBS Classification Policies throughout the classification process;
- Conduct relativity with other departments;
- Convene classification committees as required;
- Write or update job descriptions;
- Prepare classification rationales and documents;
- Conduct relativity studies, including industry best practices and observations;
- Submit invoices with detailed breakdowns of hours by activity.
Requirements:
- Candidates must provide references with their resume.
- Active Security Clearance (Reliability Status) is required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Recent experience delivering classification and/or organizational design services for the Federal Public Service.
- Significant experience analyzing organizations and writing work descriptions.
- Classification Accreditation by Treasury Board is an asset, especially for classification grievance files.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
Additional Information:
- Level of effort: 3 days of full-time work per week.
- Contract duration: November 2023 – March 2024 with possibility of extension.
- Work will be conducted off-site (remotely) with access to government facilities as required.
