Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at J&J Truck Training Center. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency roadside repairs and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid AZ class license and a valid passport.
  • Driving Record: Have a clean driving record with no major infractions.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires long hours of sitting and repetitive tasks. You must be able to work independently and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
