Job Summary

New-Way Trucking Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Operate lighter, special purpose trucks, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections, maintaining the condition of the truck and its equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity of service.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch, receiving and relaying critical information.
  • Record vital information, including cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Attention to detail
  • Judgement
  • Organized
  • Team player
Work Environment

This is a permanent position, requiring 45 hours of work per week. English is the primary language used in the workplace.
