Position Title:
Lead Safety Officer

As a Lead Safety Officer, you will be instrumental in overseeing safety protocols across various construction initiatives. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of comprehensive safety strategies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively identify potential hazards and develop proactive measures to mitigate risks. You will lead the charge in creating a robust safety culture, integrating safety as a core value in all organizational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction in safety management, ensuring all site activities adhere to established safety standards.
  • Develop and implement incident management plans based on thorough risk assessments.
  • Foster a proactive safety environment, encouraging open communication and reporting of safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, documenting and assessing risks while developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Innovate safety practices and support the implementation of new maintenance concepts to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and adjust key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Produce detailed reports and analyses on safety incidents, ensuring timely communication of findings.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of senior safety experience in a construction environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) process.
  • Strong understanding of international safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong contract management skills.
